We pride ourselves on knowing everything about the barley we supply to you. We supply estate malts, meaning we do not mix our barley grains from our farms. Each bag of Barley Five Malts originates from a single plot with soil, climate, and weather specific to that field and that growing season.
WHAT's IN THE KILN
2017 Maag Estate TeePee 2-Row
This Maag Estate 2017 TeePee 2-Row was grown in the nutrient-rich soil in northwest Ohio. The estate has been farmed by the Maag family for over 100 years and was once the edge of present-day Lake Erie. The sandy loam and underground sulfur-dense aquifers provide the perfect base for a carbohydrate-forward barley.
We are pleased to be malting the 2017 Maag Estate TeePee 2-Row which produced yields of 120 bushel an acre, with a moisture content of 13.4% and 96.5 plumpness.
